ENOBLE partners with RI Disability Vote Project to mobilize voters

state house rally

ENOBLE has partnered with the RI Disability Vote Project this election year in an all out effort to mobilize the vote among people with disabilities.

RI Disability Vote Project held its annual convention in April to kick off the campaign and has held rallies at the State House as well. ENOBLE members have taken part in these events and director Robert Geake spoke on May 20th at a rally in the rotunda about the importance of voting.

In addition I Disability Vote Project and ENOBLE are encouraging community and day programs who provide services to those with disabilities to sponsor discussion groups and to make a concerted effort in making sure people get to the polls on election day.

ENOBLE will be sponsoring voter registration rallies during the summer and will also be conducting voting classes and discussion groups in various locations around the state. Volunteers are still needed for classes and the rallies, so please contact Bob Geake if you are interested in giving a hand to help mobilize our vote in this important election.
